If you are unfamiliar with the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (AMTNYS), you may wish to read the Purpose of the Association, from its Constitution. With about 3,000 members statewide, AMTNYS, its Affiliate Organizations, and the New York State Education Department, represents a driving force in the area of mathematics education in New York State. The governing body, the Executive Board meets three times each year; at the Annual Fall Conference, in the winter and spring. It enacts and implements policies which have been initiated by either its own members or those of the Assembly.
